Android Location Services

The DA1 antenna and the DA2 receiver can be used with any Android location-enabled app using the Location Sharing feature of the Trimble Mobile Manager software together with the Android OS Mock Locations feature.

On Android devices, Trimble Mobile Manager uses the Location sharing feature to make location information from the connected GNSS receiver available to the operating system. Third-party apps receive location information from the operating system as usual, but instead of receiving information from the device's internal GPS chip, the apps receive high-quality positions from the GNSS receiver that Trimble Mobile Manager is using. Trimble Mobile Manager adds metadata to location extras.

For more information, see Allow third-party apps to use the GNSS receiver in the Trimble Mobile Manager Help.
