Managing Trimble Protected Protection plans

For each device listed in the Hardware tab in Trimble License Manager, you can extend the Software Maintenance Agreement by requesting a Trimble Protected Protection plan.

Trimble License Manager streamlines this process for you by creating a PDF of the controller details that you can email to your distributor.

  1. In Trimble License Manager, click and select Hardware.

  2. To renew:

    • All software maintenance agreements shown in the Hardware tab, click RENEW ALL.

    • Some of the software maintenance agreements shown in the Hardware tab, click the check box next to the appropriate software maintenance agreements and then click RENEW SELECTED.

  3. In the Renew Protection Plans wizard:

    1. Choose the renewal period for all of the devices you have selected.

    2. If required, for each device modify the renewal date by requesting a specific expiration date. You can use this feature to modify the renewal date by a few days so that the renewal date for all of your devices are synchronized.

    3. Click Continue.

    4. Select whether to extend the hardware maintenance plan for the same length as the software maintenance plan.

If you select Yes, the hardware maintenance plan will renew for the same length as the software maintenance plan.

If you select No, you can still renew the hardware maintenance plan at any time by getting in touch with the distributor you purchased the hardware from.

    5. Click Continue.

    6. To download the purchase request as a PDF, click Download.

The PDF requests a quote to extend the Trimble Protected Protection plans listed in the PDF.

    7. To close the Renew Protection Plans wizard, click CLOSE.

  4. Email the PDF you downloaded to your distributor.

  5. Your distributor will provide you with the quote amount for the TPPs you requested.
