LV POS View cannot connect to the POS

Problem

Although you can ping the POS and reach its internal memory through FTP, LV POS View is unable to connect to the POS. There is no error message, but it behaves as if the POS was off.

Solution

Reinstall or update the POS firmware.

Problem Details

The POS firmware might have become corrupted because of an improper shut down. To prevent this in the future, it is better to shut down the POS properly from LV POS View (Tools > Shutdown) before powering off.
