WiFi dongle is not recognized and not working

Problem

A WiFi dongle is plugged into the MX7 power box, the dongle’s LED doesn’t illuminate and no WiFi hotspot appears.

Make sure that the LED on the power box is blinking, meaning that the MX7 is fully booted. If not, first resolve any issue with power.
Try the USB Dual Power Cable.
Try connecting the dongle into the sensor head.
Check the hardware version of the USB-WLAN dongle. If it’s a V1, maybe that a V2 or V3 had been previously connected to the MX7, making it impossible to use the V1 anymore. The solution is then to replace the dongle by a V2 or V3.
Test the dongle on a computer with the Internet. If it doesn’t work, then the dongle is simply dead and needs to be replaced.
