SSD seems corrupted

Problem

Connecting the drive to your computer prompts Windows to show the message: "You need to format the disk in drive (...) before you can use it. Do you want to format it?". It may also be impossible to browse the drive and access the mission data.

Solution

If you're using a USB adapter (for example, USB-A to USB-C), try a different one, or try to avoid using it. You can also try using another cable that doesn't require an adapter, for example, a USB-B to USB-C cable that you can use to connect the drive directly to your computer.
