Alarm: Recording Laser Scanner Data was stopped because of an Error. Please check the disk and restart the System. (Msg Id: 710)

Solution

  1. Try to turn off the system and re-connect ODU cable and both SSD disks.
  2. Check if any visible damage on connectors can be detected.
  3. Swap Disk 1 and Disk 2.
  4. Replacing the ODU cable may help.
  5. Replacing the SSD disks may help.
  6. Reduce the scanner line speed from 250 lines per second to, for example, 100 lines per second.

Problem Details

This error occurs when the CU cannot get the data fast enough out from the Lasers in SU (100Mbit instead of 1gbit).

This problem can also be caused by poor performance of the removable SSD. In this case the laser data cannot be written fast enough to disk and the scanner internal buffer will overflow. This issue may also be caused by a defect bearing in the scanner. In this case you might hear an unusual noise from the problematic scanner.
