Alarm: Camera initialization error (ID 80200)

Problem

You start a mission and receive this error message:

Alarm: Camera initialization error. Please restart the system. Module: Camera_n Msg ID: 80200

Solution

Please check all the tiny pins inside cylindrical connectors (on each side of the ODU cable and sockets on the Sensor Unit and Control Unit).

You can also go to Sensor Settings in the Trimble Mobile Imaging software and start disabling side cameras one by one (with intermediate attempts of mission start). This will help to find the problematic camera.

If you find an issue with the camera which is not mandatory for your project, you can disable it and finish the project. We recommend contacting support in order to fix the problem.

Problem Details

One of the side cameras did not pass Initialization Check during the mission start. Usually, this is because of poor camera connection. The main cable plugs and sockets have 4 cylindrical connectors with tiny pins inside. Each of these connectors is responsible for the one of the cameras installed on the MX9 Sensor Head.
