Problems finding the license and opening POSPac

Problem

When you open POSPac, it might take an immense amount of time to show the GUI. There can be a similar delay when you try to open the Software License Utility (SLU). It might show you that you have valid licenses in the utility but POSPac cannot find or use any of them.

Solution

  1. Make a backup then delete the Iservrc files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS License Manager\WinNT.
  2. Stop Sentinal RMS License Manager Service (Service in Task Manager).
  3. Delete folder C:\ProgramData\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS Development Kit\System.
  4. Uninstall POSPac.
  5. Uninstall the Software License Utility (SLU).
  6. Uninstall Sentinel RMS License Manager.
  7. Reinstall SLU and Sentinel RMS License Manager.
  8. Import the backed up Iservrc file using the Import License tool.
  9. Start SLU. It should open faster than previously and you should see the license.
  10. Reinstall POSPac.
