SdeDatabase corrupted after computer changes

Problem

One or multiple TBC projects stored on a local drive become corrupted after major changes in workstation hardware or the operating system. When trying to open an old TBC project, TBC informs that the SdeDatabase is corrupted and must be replaced. In addition MXDB-database path must be relinked.

Solution

Log in with a user account with administration rights, open an existing project, relink the MXDB-database and save the project. After this it should be possible to open the project with non-administrator accounts.

Problem Details

The problem is related to unknown permission changes caused by changes in the workstation environment.
