Error opening a session

Problem

License issues when working with Asset Inventory in Trimble MX Asset Modeler Client and Server. The following error message appears:

Error occurred while opening session. Login failed continue session in standalone mode?

Solution

A standalone application is causing the error. To resolve the issue, uninstall the Trimble MX standalone product and delete the files in the installation folder.

For Trimble MX Asset Modeler Pro, delete the files in C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Trimble\Trimble MX Asset Modeler Pro, especially the licenses_v17.0.ini file.

Problem Details

Seen with Trimble MX Asset Modeler Client and Server version 17.
