Penmap Project Manager

Penmap Project Manager (PPM) is a desktop application where you’ll set up your organization(s), add/remove users, create projects and templates and export the data collected in the field. The application is included with your Penmap for Android subscription.

Penmap Project Manager works in conjunction with Trimble Connect, which stores all your settings and projects in the cloud.

To install Penmap Project Manager

Install Penmap Project Manager using Trimble Installation Manager for Windows.

To install Trimble Installation Manager for Windows:

  1. Go to and select the TIM for Windows tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Installing the Trimble Installation Manager section and click the Online link to download the installation file to your computer.
  3. Double-click the installation file to install it.

To install Penmap Project Manager:

  1. Run the Trimble Installation Manager for Windows software.
  2. In the product bar, select Penmap Project Manager. If Penmap Project Manager is not shown, select the Show all check box at the bottom of the product bar.
  3. In the Install updates tab, select the items to install.

    Select Trimble Coordinate Manager if you need to create your own coordinate system. For more information on creating your own coordinate system, refer to the User Defined Coordinate Systems support bulletin.

  4. Click Install.
  5. Click through the steps in the Penmap Project Manager installation wizard.
