To modify the template schema
Modify the template schema to create the GIS record forms that appear in the project when it is opened in the Penmap for Android software.

Select the template in the list and click Edit.
The iFeature editor appears:

Click Create / Edit Schema.
The Penmap form editor appears:
Use the editor to add or remove tables of features/objects.

To define attribute fields, create lists, set default attribute values and arrange how you want the schema to be laid out, select the Fields tab:
- To add a schema to the template, you can import the schema from an existing shape .dbf file and then edit the schema, or you can create a brand new schema.
- In the Penmap form editor, from the File menu select Create from .dbf file.
- Browse to the shape file location (only .dbf files are displayed).
- Select all the necessary .dbf files.
- Click Open.
You can now add features and attributes to the schema you imported.
- In the schema editor, click Add Table.
- Enter a table name.
- In the GIS Type field, select whether the feature is a point, polyline, or polygon.
- If required, select the character to be shown on the map for this object.
- Click OK.

Select the table in the schema editor.

Click Add Field.
The Field Definition screen appears:
- Enter a name for the field and, if required, enter a label.
- Select the field type, for example, string, double, boolean.
- Select the default value for the field.
- Select whether the field is compulsory, read only, or hidden.
- Click OK.
- In the Add Fields to Tables/Objects box of the editor, select the field to edit.
- Enter the item name in the box and click Add Item.
- Continue this process until all list items have been added.
You can also upload a list from a TXT or DBF file.
