Device status

The Trimble Installation Manager window shows the status of the device and the status of products installed to the device.

If Trimble Installation Manager is installed on a device running the Windows operating system and no other devices are connected, then the device shown is the device running Trimble Installation Manager. Otherwise, the device shown is the one that is connected to the device running Trimble Installation Manager.

The name and serial number of the device are shown at the top of the screen.

Status messages and instructions appear below the device name and serial number.

The Install updates tab shows the software or firmware that can be installed. If applicable, supporting software that can be installed to the computer or tablet running Trimble Installation Manager is also shown. For more information, see Installation status.

The Relinquish licenses tab appears if you can remove the software license from the connected device so that it can be transferred to a new device. See To relinquish software licenses.

The Upgrade options tab appears if there are more options available for the device. To purchase any of these options, contact your Trimble distributor.

The product bar next to the navigation bar on the left shows applicable products for the device. Trimble Installation Manager uses the device serial number to determine the software components that can be downloaded and installed to the device. By default the product bar shows only products for which the device has a valid license.

To view all products that can be installed to the device, including those that do not require a license, select the Show all check box at the bottom of the product bar.

The Device information tab shows warranty information and device properties for the device.
