Update DA1 or DA2 receiver firmware

Firmware is software that is embedded in the receiver, and enables the receiver to operate. Occasionally firmware updates may become available for your receiver. Updates may include functionality improvements, security patches, and bug fixes.

Firmware updates for the DA1 or the DA2 typically take 5-10 minutes. You cannot use the receiver during the update process.

To check for and install DA2 firmware updates

Use the Trimble Mobile Manager app to download and send the update to your DA2 using the Bluetooth connection to your Android or iOS device.

Connect the DA2 to your Android or iOS device.

When the Trimble Mobile Manager software connects to the DA2, it checks the installed firmware version. If a firmware update is available, a notification banner appears on-screen, and an Update now option appears in the Status screen.
Tap Update firmware in the notification in the Home screen or Update now in the Status screen. The Firmware Update screen appears, showing information about the update.

If you decide you don't want to update the receiver right now, tap the back arrow.
To download and install the update immediately, tap Download and install now.

While the receiver is updating, the LED on the receiver flashes yellow. The Software Update screen shows the progress of the download and installation.
When the update is complete, tap OK.
The receiver will usually automatically restart after the firmware update. During restart, the LED on the receiver turns off and then turns on flashing blue, before changing to solid blue, indicating the Trimble Mobile Manager software has reconnected to the receiver. Some updates may require you to manually restart and/or reconnect to the receiver.
