Products and workflows

Trimble Terra Office consists of two full-featured add-ins for Esri ArcGIS software and one standalone utility, all of which share the same subscription licensing approach.

Trimble Terra Office add-in for ArcMap

Delivered as an add-in to Esri ArcGIS Desktop, the Trimble Terra Office add-in for ArcMap provides a complete set of tools for setting up data collection projects using on-premise ArcGIS geodatabase infrastructure. From within the familiar ArcMap environment, desktop users can set up, manage, and deploy data collection projects. Collected data is then downloaded (or checked-in) and processed directly into the geodatabase.

  • Supports real-time and offline GNSS correction workflows as well as local post-processing and TerraFlex Local Project workflows.

  • Requires a Terra Office Standard subscription and Esri ArcGIS Desktop 10.2 or higher.

Trimble Terra Office add-in for ArcGIS Pro

Delivered as an add-in to Esri ArcGIS Pro, the Trimble Terra Office add-in for ArcGIS Pro provides a simple workflow for setting up data collection projects using either feature services hosted in ArcGIS Online/Enterprise or on-premise ArcGIS geodatabase infrastructure. From within the ArcGIS Pro environment, desktop users can set up, manage, and deploy data collection projects. Collected data is then downloaded directly into the feature service or geodatabase.

  • Supports real-time GNSS corrections when using Cloud or Local Project workflows, and offline GNSS corrections when using Cloud workflows.

  • Requires a Terra Office Standard subscription and Esri ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or higher.

Trimble Terra Office

Delivered as a simple, standalone application on the desktop, Trimble Terra Office provides key workflows for both Cloud and Local Projects. For TerraFlex Cloud Projects (Trimble Connect map workspaces), it allows the desktop user to export collected data to a variety of geospatial file formats: SHP, CSV, GeoJSON, DWG and DXF (with blocks). In terms of Local Project workflows, it lets the desktop user create a Local Project template file from an existing cloud project. Additionally, it allows the office user to export collected data in a Local Project forms file to the same set of geospatial file formats listed earlier.

  • Cloud Project export requires a Terra Office Basic (or higher) subscription.

  • Local Project workflows require a Terra Office Standard (or higher) subscription.

Offline GNSS corrections and local post-processing requires the field user to have a TerraFlex Premium license and a Trimble receiver that supports post-processing.
