To filter data using wildcard search

To filter the displayed information using wildcard matching, do one of the following:

  • In the Point manager screen, tap.
  • Tap in the map toolbar and select Filter and then tap.

The Wildcard search screen appears. Enter your search criteria as needed in the Point name, Code, and Note fields and, if enabled, the Description fields.

To include wildcard searching, use * (for multiple characters) and ? (for a single character). The filters specified for the separate fields are processed together and only points that meet the criteria of all the filters will appear. Use * in any field that you do not want to filter. Filtering is not case sensitive. For example:

The search results return points from files that meet your search criteria even if they are not currently displayed in the map, for example points from scans that are not visible in the map.

The filter icon is colored yellow to indicate when a filter is applied. To disable the filter, tap Reset, or set all fields to *.

In the Map, filter settings are cleared when you change jobs.

In Point manager, filter settings are remembered, but are not applied if Point manager is closed. To reactivate filter settings, tap and then tap Accept.
