To connect a radio to the GNSS receiver
When using radio in an RTK survey, you can connect the equipment using cables or Bluetooth.
For information on Bluetooth, see Bluetooth connections.
To connect the equipment using cables:
-
Connect the Zephyr antenna to the GNSS receiver port labeled GPS. Use the GNSS antenna cable.
When inserting cables, align the red dot on the plug with the red line on the socket and then insert the plug carefully. Do not force plugs into the receiver ports.
- Connect the radio antenna to the radio using the cable attached to the antenna.
- Connect the radio to the GNSS receiver port 3. If you are using:
- A Trimble radio, use the supplied cable.
- A radio provided by a third party, use the appropriate cable.
- For some third‑party radios, a separate power supply is needed for the radio. If external power is required, connect the power supply with a 0‑shell Lemo connection to port 2 or port 3 on the receiver.
- Connect the controller to the GNSS receiver port 1 using the 0‑shell Lemo‑to‑Hirose cable.
