Stakeout options

To configure stakeout options:

• When editing the survey style, in the survey style screen tap Stakeout.
• During stakeout, tap Options.

To configure the Stakeout display mode, see Stakeout navigation display.

To keep points in the stake out point list after they have been staked, clear the Remove staked point from list check box.

In a conventional survey, if you do not want the total station EDM set to TRK mode when you enter stakeout, clear the Use TRK for stakeout check box.

If you are using the Trimble SX12 scanning total station in TRK mode and the laser pointer is enabled, the Mark point with laser pointer check box is available.

• When the Mark point with laser pointer check box is selected, the stakeout screen shows the Mark point softkey instead of the Measure softkey. Tap Mark point to put the instrument into STD mode. The laser pointer changes to solid and moves to position itself at the EDM location. When you tap Accept to store the point, the instrument automatically returns to TRK mode and the laser pointer resumes flashing. See To stake out points.
• When the Mark point with laser pointer check box is not selected, the Stakeout screen shows the Measure softkey as usual and the point is measured at the location of the laser pointer.

In a GNSS survey, to automatically start measuring when the Measure key is tapped, select the Auto measure check box.
