To export LandXML string roads from Trimble Business Center

For best results when using LandXML string roads in the Trimble Access Roads software, export files using Trimble Business Center version 5.30 or later.

Use Trimble Business Center to export the road as an alignment and its associated corridor. If required, you can include points and non-road surfaces in the export.

1. Start Trimble Business Center and select a project.
2. From the Home ribbon, select Export.
3. From the Corridor tab select LandXML exporter.

4. Select the roads and the associated corridor surfaces to export.

   If there are no corridors defined for the alignment but there is a surface that represents the road you can still export the road. However, you must first associate the alignment with the surface. From surface properties select the alignment from the Horizontal alignment field. When you export the road select the alignment and its associated surface.

5. If required, select the points and non-road surfaces to export.

6. From the Settings / Surface description field select:

   • 1 - Points and breaklines to ensure the road strings are created.

   • Both 1 and 2 if the file includes non-road surfaces.

7. Select Export to export the file.
