To measure rapid points

Use the Rapid point method to quickly measure points with no minimum occupation time.

Because the software collects just one epoch of roving mode data when the preset precisions are reached, Trimble recommends setting the default precision values higher for the Rapid point method than for other point measurement types. To configure quality, precision, and other settings, tap Options. See GNSS point options.

  1. Tap and select Measure / Measure points, or in the map, with nothing selected, tap Measure.
  2. Select Rapid point in the Method field.
  3. Enter the Point name and Code.

  4. Enter a value in the Antenna height field and make sure that the setting in the Measured to field is set appropriately.
  5. Position the receiver and tap Measure.

If you are using IMU tilt compensation and the IMU is aligned, you can tilt the pole as required. The status bar shows . Keep the pole tip is stationary during measurement.

If you are not using IMU tilt compensation or the IMU is not aligned, level the pole.

If you are using a receiver that supports the GNSS eBubble, use the eBubble to level the pole. The status bar shows . Keep the pole vertical and stationary during measurement.

To measure points more quickly, enable Auto-measure to automatically initiate a measurement. See Auto-measure.

The point is automatically stored when the preset precisions are reached.
