Joystick

If you are operating a robotic instrument at the remote end (target), use the Joystick softkey to turn the instrument towards the target when lock has been lost.

  1. Tap the Instrument icon in the status bar to open the Instrument functions screen.

  2. Tap Joystick.
  3. Tap an arrow on the screen or press the up, down, left, or right arrow keys to turn the instrument.

To increase or decrease the turning speed, tap the left (decrease) or right (increase) speed arrows.

  4. To fine‑tune the position of the instrument, tap the inner arrows. The inner arrows always turn at half of the minimum speed setting.
  5. To change the direction tap the change direction button ( , ).
    • When the instrument icon is to the left of the prism icon, the instrument turns as if you are standing behind the instrument.
    • When the instrument icon is to the right of the prism icon, the instrument turns as if you are standing at the pole facing the instrument.
  6. To make the instrument locate and lock on to the target, tap Search. The instrument starts searching for the target.

When GPS Search is ready, the softkey is available. To perform a GPS‑aided search, tap .

The search results are shown in the status line:
