Button	Function
Select and pan	Tap to select items in the map. To clear the current selection, double‑tap an empty part of the map. To pan around the map, make sure is selected in the map toolbar and then tap and drag in the map. Alternatively, place two fingers on the screen and slide in the desired direction to move the view. If you are using a controller that has arrow keys, you can use the arrow keys to pan. To pan to a point in the map, tap in the Map toolbar and select Pan to point. Enter a point name and scale value. To center the map at the current position, tap in the Map toolbar and select Pan to here. For more options, such as to change the scale at which to zoom, select Pan to point and configure your settings and then tap the Here softkey in the Pan to point screen.
Rectangle selection	Tap and then drag to create a rectangular box around the items you want to select. Items inside or partially inside the rectangle drawn on the map are colored blue to indicate they are selected. To clear the selection, double-tap an empty part of the map. If the button is not shown in the toolbar, tap Polygon selection to change to Rectangle selection . For more information, see Selecting items in the map.
Polygon selection	Tap and then tap in the map to create a polygon shape around the items you want to select. Keep tapping in the map to add nodes to the polygon. If the button is not shown in the toolbar, tap Rectangle selection to change to Polygon selection . If you need to undo the last node added, tap . To delete the polygon (for example, to start again) tap . When you are done adding nodes, tap to close the polygon. The polygon shape disappears from the map and items inside or partially inside the polygon are colored blue to indicate they are selected. For more information, see Selecting items in the map.
Zoom	Tap or to zoom in or out one zoom level at a time. Alternatively, place two fingers on the screen and stretch out to zoom in on the center of the map or pinch in to zoom out. Drag one finger across the screen to pan. To zoom to an area of interest, tap and hold the button and then drag a box around the area of interest.
Zoom extents	Tap to zoom to the map extents. You can configure the zoom extents so that part of the map is excluded. This is useful when, for example, you want to exclude a base station position that is several kilometers away. To do this, use the map pan and zoom tools so that the map shows the area of interest and then tap and hold Zoom extents and select Set user zoom extent. This is now the map view shown when you tap Zoom extents. To clear the custom view, tap and hold Zoom extents and select Clear user zoom extent. To create an area of interest, tap and hold Zoom extents and select Set area of interest. This is useful when, for example, you have a large job site and you want to view only the part you are currently working in. To return to this view, tap and hold Zoom extents and select View area of interest. The area of interest commands are available only when the map is in Plan view. If they are not available, tap and select Plan. When zooming it is useful to be able to return to the previous view. Tap and hold Zoom extents and select Zoom to previous, or press Ctrl + Z. The current position of the GNSS antenna is not considered part of the map extents unless it is currently being used for GPS search.
More	When connected to an instrument that has video and using a controller with a smaller screen such as a TSC5 or TDC600 controller, tap to access the Orbit and Predefined view map tools.
Orbit	Tap and then tap and drag in the map to orbit the 3D map data around an axis. The NE axes icon rotates accordingly, to show the orientation of the North and East elevations. The icon in the center of the map indicates the point of orbit. When in Orbit mode you can tap individual items in the map to select them, and these remain selected when you orbit the map. In most cases the orbit function is constrained so that the Z axis remains upward. However, when the job Coordinate order is set to XYZ (CAD), there is no constraint and you can orbit data freely. To change the coordinate order, see Units.
Predefined view	Tap Predefined view to see a plan (two dimensional) view of the map, or tap and hold to select a predefined three dimensional view. Available three dimensional views are Top, Front, Back, Left, Right or Iso. The Iso view shows an isometric view of the data where each angle is 60 degrees. Select Iso again to rotate the view by 90 degrees. To return to Plan view, tap . When in Plan view, additional options are available from the tap and hold menu. These options are not available in the other predefined views.
Layer manager	Tap to link files to the job or to change which points and features are visible and selectable in the map. See Layer manager.
More	Tap and then select the appropriate menu item. To change the appearance of information shown in the Map screen, and to configure map behavior, tap and then select Settings. See Map settings. To pan to a specific point or to pan to your current location, tap and select the appropriate option.
Show video	Tap to switch to the video feed from the instrument. See Instrument video. This button is available only when connected to an instrument that has Trimble VISION technology using a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cirronet radio connection. Video is not available when connected to a Trimble VX spatial station or Trimble S Series total station using a serial cable.
Augmented reality	Tap to switch to the Augmented reality view. See Augmented reality viewer. This button is available only when the controller is connected to a Trimble GNSS receiver with IMU tilt compensation and you have started a survey.

Tap to select items in the map.

If the button is not shown in the toolbar, tap Polygon selection to change to Rectangle selection .

Polygon selection

Tap and then tap in the map to create a polygon shape around the items you want to select. Keep tapping in the map to add nodes to the polygon.

If the button is not shown in the toolbar, tap Rectangle selection to change to Polygon selection .

If you need to undo the last node added, tap . To delete the polygon (for example, to start again) tap .

When you are done adding nodes, tap to close the polygon. The polygon shape disappears from the map and items inside or partially inside the polygon are colored blue to indicate they are selected.

Zoom

Tap or to zoom in or out one zoom level at a time.

Zoom extents

Tap to zoom to the map extents.
