Construction points

Typically, a construction point is used in Cogo functions or when keying in lines, arcs, or polylines.

To quickly measure and automatically store a construction point, tap next to the Point name field in the Cogo or Key in screen and then select Fast fix:

• In a conventional survey, wherever the instrument is pointing, that position is stored.
• In a real‑time GNSS survey, Fast fix uses the Rapid point method.

Construction points are stored in the database with autopoint names that increment from Temp0000. They are classified higher than check points and lower than normal points. For more information, see Database search rules.

To view construction points in a map or list, tap in the Map toolbar to open the Layer manager. Select the Filter tab and make sure construction points are set to selectable. See Filtering data by measurement type.
