Road design files

Road design files are single files that consists of an alignment (the road centerline) with one or more related strings that define the road, or with related cross section templates. All stationing is derived from the alignment.

Supported road design files are RXL files and LandXML files.

The Roads software supports LandXML roads where the horizontal alignment is defined by elements or points of intersection (PI's). However LandXML files with arcs defined by spiral‑arc‑connectingSpiral‑arc‑spiral are not supported.
