Installing Trimble Installation Manager

To install or update the Trimble Access software to your controller, you must use Trimble Installation Manager:

  • If the controller is a Windows device, install or update Trimble Access software using Trimble Installation Manager for Windows.
  • If the controller is an Android device, install or update Trimble Access software using Trimble Installation Manager for Android.
  1. Go to the Software and utilities page and click the link to download Trimble Installation Manager for Windows.
  2. Double-click the installation file to install it.

Trimble Installation Manager for Android is usually preinstalled on Trimble controllers running Android. If it is not already installed, follow the instructions below to install it.

  1. Go to the Software and utilities page and click the link to download Trimble Installation Manager for Android.
  2. Tap the link to download the Trimble Installation Manager for Android software.
  3. Locate the downloaded file on your device and tap it to run it.
  4. If a pop‑up message indicates that the device is set to block installation of apps obtained from unknown sources:
    1. Tap Settings in the pop‑up message.
    2. In the Settings screen, locate the Unknown sources item and set the control to on to allow installation of apps from sources other than the Play Store.
    3. Tap OK.

Trimble Installation Manager operates as the license manager service for any software installed using Trimble Installation Manager. If you uninstall Trimble Installation Manager, installed software will not run.
