Trimble Solution Improvement Program
At Trimble, we know that the best products are the ones our customers can use to their fullest potential. To design our products, we gather direct customer feedback by visiting customers, gathering information from our distribution partners, conducting surveys, technical support reports and other types of field research.
However, a large amount of people around the world use Trimble products, so it is impossible for us to contact most of our customers in person to get their feedback. The Trimble Solution Improvement Program was created to give all Trimble customers the ability to contribute to the design and development of Trimble products and services.
The Trimble Solution Improvement Program collects information about how you use Trimble programs and about some of the problems you may encounter. Trimble uses this information to improve the products and features you use most often, to help solve problems, and to better meet your needs. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary.
How does the Trimble Solution Improvement Program work?
If you participate, the Trimble Access log file is sent to the Trimble server each time you start Trimble Access.
When we receive the log file, we parse it for usage information to create statistics around what our equipment is being used for, what software functions are popular in which geographical region and how often we can see any problems that can be corrected in our products. You can of course uninstall this software program at any time should you wish to do so.
Is this program affecting my performance in the field?
No. The software program does not affect your performance and productivity in the field. The transfer of the information to the Trimble server each time you start Trimble Access is transparent for you.
Will the Solution Improvement Program collect information about all products on my data collector?
No. The software program only collects information from the Trimble Access log file; this contains information about connections to hardware, like GNSS receivers and total stations, targets used, user entered values such as atmospheric information, exceptions in the software and what Trimble Access functionality is being used.
If I choose to participate, can I opt out later?
You can opt in or out at any time. To do this, in Trimble Access tap ☰ and select About. Tap Legal and select Solution Improvement Program. Select or clear the I would like to participate in the Solution Improvement Program check box.
We recognize that some customers might be uncomfortable allowing the information collected by the Trimble Solution Improvement Program to be sent without having an opportunity to review it fully even though the information does not contain contact information and is governed by the privacy statement. If you are uncomfortable with sharing this information, please choose not to participate.
