Stake out items list

To create the stake out list from the map

In the map, select the items to be staked out. Tap Stakeout.
The Stake out items list shows the items selected for stakeout. To add more items to the list, do one of the following:
- Select them on the map. The Stake out items list is updated as you select them. Tap OK.
- Tap Add. Select the method you want to use to add points to the list.
The items you selected are shown in the Stake out items list.
When selecting line, arc, or polyline features to stake out from the map, tap near the end of the feature that you want to designate as the start. Arrows are then drawn on the feature to indicate the direction. If the direction is incorrect, tap the feature to deselect it and then tap it at the correct end to reselect the feature in the direction required. Alternatively tap and hold in the map and select Reverse direction from the menu. If the feature has been offset, the offset directions are not swapped when the direction is reversed.

To create the stake out list from the menu

Tap and select Stakeout / Points.
If the map is not shown and the Stake out point form is full-width, tap List.

The Stake out items list shows all items selected for stake out. The list may already contain points that were added to the list previously but not staked out.
Tap Add. Select the method you want to use to add points to the list.

The points you selected are shown in the Stake out items list.

To create the stake out list from a file outside the job

To select points in a CSV/TXT file or another job that is not linked to the current job:

Tap and select Stakeout / Points.
If the map is not shown and the Stake out point form is full-width, tap List.
Tap Add.
Tap Select from file.
Tap the file to select it or use the controller arrow keys to select the file. Tap Accept.
If the Advanced geodetic check box is enabled in the Cogo settings screen, and you select a CSV or TXT file, you must specify the Coordinate type of the points in the file. Select Grid points or Grid (local) points.
If the points in the file are Grid (local) points, select the transformation to use to transform them to grid points:
- To assign the transformation later, select Not applied, this will be defined later. Tap Accept.
- To create a new display transformation, select Create new transformation. Tap Next and complete the required steps. See Transformations.
- To select an existing display transformation, select Select transformation. Select the display transformation from the list. Tap Accept.
To select the points from the file to add to the stakeout list, tap each point name or tap All.
Points in the CSV/TXT/JOB file that are already in the stake out list do not appear and cannot be added again to the list.
Tap Add.

The points you selected are shown in the Stake out items list.

Managing the list of Stake out items

If you select more than one item in the map and then tap Stakeout, the Stake out items list appears. Select each item in turn from the Stake out items list, navigate to it and stake it out before returning to the Stake out items list.

Points are automatically removed from the list after they have been staked. To keep points in the list, clear the Remove staked point from list check box in the stakeout options screen. This setting does not affect line, arc, or polyline features.

When the Stake out items list is shown alongside the map:

The currently selected list item is highlighted on the map.
Changing the items that are selected in the map updates the items in the Stake out items list, and removing items in the Stake out items list updates what is selected in the map.
To clear the Stake out items list, tap Rem all or double-tap in the map. If you accidentally clear the list, tap Undo to restore the list of Stake out items.

To set aside the Stake out items list tap Esc. The Stake out items list is remembered and you can return to it later.

When the Stake out items list is not open:

To clear the current map selection, double-tap in the map.
Select items in the map as usual to perform other functions, for example to key in features or compute Cogo calculations.
To return to the Stake out items list, tap Stakeout.
To add the current map selection to the current Stake out items list, tap and hold in the map and select Stakeout: x items, where x is the count of the items in the stakeout list as well as the number of items in the map. The Stake out items list opens, showing the updated list.
