Install the Trimble Catalyst Service

The Trimble Catalyst Service applies only to the Trimble Catalyst DA1 antenna.

To use the Trimble Catalyst DA1 antenna in Trimble Mobile Manager, the Trimble Catalyst Service must be installed to the Android device running Trimble Mobile Manager.

The Trimble Catalyst Service is available as a free download on the Google Play Store. To download and install the Trimble Catalyst Service:

  1. Tap the Google Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet.

  2. Use the search feature to search for Trimble Catalyst Service. If the Android device you are using is compatible with the Trimble Catalyst receiver service, the Trimble Catalyst Service app will appear in the search results.

  3. Tap INSTALL to download and install the app on your device.

    The Trimble Catalyst Service is a background service that is only accessible programmatically by other apps that use the Trimble Catalyst Service, so it does not have or need a shortcut icon on your Android device's home screen.

When the Trimble Mobile Manager software connects to a Trimble Catalyst GNSS receiver, it checks the installed Catalyst Service version. If an update is available, you are prompted to go to the Google Play store to obtain the update.
