Fix station setup

Use the Fix station setup Cogo Adjust function if you need to apply corrections to the station setup and all measured points using the same station setup. The Fix station setup function can be used to reorient and translate a station setup where temporary or incorrect azimuth or station coordinates have been used.

Only station setups with a keyed in azimuth to the backsight can be reoriented or translated. A keyed in azimuth to a backsight is used when the coordinates for the station or backsight point are not known.

  1. To open the Fix station setup form, tap and select Cogo / Adjust / Fix station setup.

  2. From the Station setup field, select the point that you want to adjust. Only stations in the job that have a keyed in azimuth to the backsight can be selected.
  3. Select the transformation type. Choose one or both of the following:
    • Select Reorient station setup to adjust the orientation of the station setup.
    • Select Translate station to translate the coordinates of the station to the correct coordinates.
  4. Tap Accept.
  5. If you selected the Reorient station setup option:
    1. From the Method field, choose one of the following:
      • Select Enter new backsight azimuth and then enter the New backsight azimuth value.
      • Select Enter rotation value and then enter the new Rotation value.

    2. Tap Apply.

      The map updates the station and any measured points using the same station setup. The original backsight azimuth is also updated.

    3. To save the changes to the job, tap Confirm. If the changes do not look correct, tap Esc to undo the changes.

  6. If you selected the Translate station option:

    1. From the Method field, choose one of the following:

      • Select Two points and then select the From point and the To point.

      • Select Deltas and then enter the delta Northing, Easting, and/or Elevation. The delta is the distance the point must be shifted.

      • Select Key in coordinates and then enter the new coordinates for the point.

    2. Tap Calc.

      An arrow on the map indicates the point that will shift and where it will move to.

    3. Tap Apply.

      The map updates the station and any measured points using the same station setup. The original occupy point is also moved.

    4. To save the changes to the job, tap Confirm. If the changes do not look correct, tap Esc to undo the changes.
