Map data transparency
Increase the transparency of map backgrounds and BIM models in the map to provide better contrast with features in the job or in other linked files.
To open the Transparency form, tap and select Transparency.
Transparency settings do not apply to features in the job or in linked files such as DXF, LandXML or RXL files. Points, lines, arcs, and polylines in the job and feature labels always remain full intensity, regardless of the Transparency slider setting.
Use the Transparency slider control to control the transparency of map background data, including Trimble Maps, data layers from a WMS, and background images.
-
To make map background data more transparent, tap toward the left side of the slider, or tap and drag the slider control to the left. When the slider is positioned all the way to the left, map background data is displayed at 10% opacity.
-
To make map background data less transparent, tap toward the right side of the slider, or tap and drag the slider control to the right. When the slider is positioned all the way to the right, map background data has no transparency applied.
The BIM models group box controls how solid the BIM model appears in the map.
In the Display field:
-
Select Wireframe to view the edges of the object. White lines in the BIM model are shown in black when the Wireframe option is selected.
-
Select Solid to view items as solid objects. To make the object semi-transparent, select a Transparency value greater than 0%.
-
Select Both to show both solid objects as well as the edges of objects.
To select a surface, the BIM model must be shown in the map as a solid object, not as a wireframe.
Use the Transparency slider control to control the transparency of the BIM model in the map.
-
