Managing Inspections layers

The Inspections tab in the Layer manager screen lists the inspection files in the current job.

Inspection files are surface inspection point clouds created using the Surface inspection Cogo function.

Use the Inspections tab to hide or display inspection files in the map and in the Video screen. Only one inspection can be visible at a time.

To change which inspections are visible

  1. To open the Layer manager, do one of the following:

    • Tap in the Map toolbar or the Video toolbar.
    • In the Job properties screen, tap the Layer manager button.

  2. Select the Inspections tab.

  3. To automatically update the data shown in the Map or Video screen as you make changes in the Layer manager, tap the Auto update softkey. A check mark on the Auto update softkey indicates Auto update is enabled.

Changes made when Auto update is enabled are retained when you exit the Layer manager using either the Accept or Esc key.

  4. To hide an inspection in the map and in the Video screen, tap the file name. The check mark inside a square next to the file name disappears.

  5. To make an inspection visible in the map and in the Video screen, tap the file name. The check mark inside a square next to the file name appears, indicating inspection points are visible and selectable ("active") in the map and in the Video screen.

Because only one inspection can be visible at a time, any visible inspection is hidden when you make another inspection visible.

  6. Tap Accept.

If required, use the Delete and Rename softkeys to manage inspections. To restore deleted inspections, use the Undelete option in Review job.
