Measure

Use the Measure menu to measure points.

To measure points, the Trimble Access software needs to start a survey, at which time you are prompted to select the required survey style. If there is only one survey style on your controller, it is automatically selected when you start a survey. Otherwise, select a style from the list that appears.

The measurement methods available in the Measure menu depend on the type of survey you are doing.

To easily code points as specific feature types as you measure them, tap and select Measure / Measure codes. See Measuring points with feature codes.

To save time when measuring points, set the default point details for points:

  1. Tap and hold in the map and then select Set point details.

  2. Set the Next point name, Code and, if enabled the Description 1 and Description 2 values that will be used as the default values the next time you measure a point.

If you select a single point in the map when you select Set point details, the point name, code and descriptions of the selected point become the default values.

Watch the Measuring with Trimble Access playlist on the Trimble Access YouTube channel for an overview of measuring a topo or as-built survey, including using Measure codes to add attribute information and display points and lines in the map using different symbols.
