Viewing accuracy results
The Accuracy panel displays the aggregated accuracy results for the current feature selection. The accuracy results are shown visually as a bar graph, and text below the graph indicates:
-
The number of features with better accuracy after processing using offline GNSS corrections.
-
The number of features that have positions outside the accuracy threshold set for the template.
You can use this accuracy information to decide the next step for managing features that do not meet the accuracy threshold set for the template. For example, you could:
-
Create ToDos so that the position of the features can be recollected. For more information, see Task-based data maintenance (ToDos).
-
View the location of the feature on the map to investigate why the position is not as accurate than expected. For example, the feature may be located under heavy tree canopy or close to large buildings.
-
View the attributes of the feature and decide whether the accuracy level is acceptable. An accuracy outside the accuracy threshold may be acceptable for a highly visible and easy to locate feature.
The Accuracy panel is shown to the left of the Features panel, which is located to the right of the map. To open the Accuracy panel:
-
From the Activity log, click the log entry for the features you want to review. The Features panel opens to the right of the map and the Accuracy panel opens below the Features panel.
-
Select features from the map. The Features panel opens to the right of the map. To open the Accuracy panel, click the Accuracy icon at the top left of the Features panel.
To drill down into the features shown in the Accuracy panel, click one of the bars in the graph or click one of the text links below the graph. The Features panel on the right now shows only the features that correspond to the graph bar or text link.
To view information for individual features, click any of the feature symbols to the left of the Features panel, below the Accuracy icon . For more information, see Reviewing features.
To clear the narrowed down selection in the Features panel, click the Back to previous selection link at the bottom of the Accuracy panel.
The units displayed in the new accuracy panel are set at Trimble Connect project level. To change the units used:
-
In the Map Viewer, click next to the map workspace name at the top of the screen to view the Trimble Connect project folder.
-
In the menu at the left, select Settings / Units.
-
In the Length field, select the unit system to use and then select the Display precision.
-
Click Save changes at the top right of the screen.
The units displayed for the PPA do not change when you set units for the estimated accuracy auto fields in form templates, or when you set the coordinate system for the map workspace.
