Stylesheets
Stylesheets are typically applied to Job or JobXML files to generate custom export files and reports. Stylesheets can also be applied to other ASCII files such as LandXML files to convert the files into different formats.
Some reports can be generated using Trimble Access on the controller, and some of those reports are installed onto the controller with the Trimble Access software. Other reports can be generated using the File and Report Generator utility, which can be downloaded from the Software and utilities page.
Predefined stylesheets are provided in English, unless otherwise stated. Modify these files as required for your own language.
For more information on customizing or creating your own stylesheets, see Custom import formats and Custom export formats.

This stylesheet is designed to be used only with the File and Report Generator utility.
This stylesheet produces a DXF format file containing a set of tunnel profiles based on the points scanned in the job and the tunnel definition. When you apply the stylesheet using the File and Report Generator utility, you can select the TunnelXML file that defines the tunnel alignment and design profiles used during the tunnel scanning operation. The design profile will be displayed in the profile plot along with the scanned points. Options are available to control the presentation of the profiles in the DXF file.
Tunnel profile detail report
This report provides a list of the points scanned at each tunnel profile along with their Underbreak/Overbreak and station delta values. Any Underbreak/Overbreak or station delta values that exceed the specified tolerances are highlighted in the report.
This stylesheet is installed to the Trimble Data / System Files folder on the controller with the software.
Tunnel profile report
This stylesheet will create a summary report for each station scanned, listing the number of profile points and how many of those points were in or out of tolerance. It provides the number of overbreak and underbreak points and how many were outside the station tolerance. You can elect to use the overbreak, underbreak and station tolerances as specified when the scan was done, or you can enter your own tolerance values.
This stylesheet is installed to the Trimble Data / System Files folder on the controller with the software.
Tunnel profiles display (SVG)
This stylesheet is designed to be used only with the File and Report Generator utility.
This stylesheet creates an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) XML file of the tunnel cross-sections, which can be viewed in a web browser. The Prev and Next buttons allow you to step through the cross-sections, and on each cross-section you can 'hover' over the displayed points to see the overbreak/underbreak and delta station values for the points. The points are color‑coded to indicate whether they are within the specified tolerances. You can also specify the name of the tunnel, including the file path to the tunnel file, or just the file path itself, and the stylesheet will use the tunnel name referenced in the job to locate the definition file. If the tunnel definition file can be located, the design profile lines are displayed as well as the measured points.
Amberg tunnel profile report
A tunnel profile report for use in Amberg Tunnel office software.
This stylesheet is installed to the Trimble Data / System Files folder on the controller with the software.
Tunnel cross section points
This file is designed to provide a comma separated set of points that can be loaded into a suitable system for analysis. The tunnel delta points are output as Point name, 'east value', 'north value', 'elevation value'. The computed distance (as a set of outer chords summed together) left and right of the centerline is the 'east value', the station value is the 'north value' and the overbreak/underbreak value is output as the 'elevation value'. This is effectively like laying the measured cross-section points out in a line.
This stylesheet is installed to the Trimble Data / System Files folder on the controller with the software.
LandXML to TunnelXML
The two stylesheets provided are designed to be used only with the File and Report Generator utility.
They are used to convert a LandXML version 1.0 file containing tunnel definition records to a TunnelXML file, that can then be used in Trimble Access. These tunnel definition records are stored as TunnelProfile elements in LandXML format files and are used by Novapoint and Leica. Note that these TunnelProfile records are not included in the LandXML v1.0 schema definition and so these files would not validate against the LandXML v1.0 schema. Once you have created a TunnelXML file using one of the stylesheets in the File and Report Generator utility, you can copy the TunnelXML file onto the controller running Trimble Access and use it for tunnel scanning. There is an instruction file included that covers the use of the two stylesheets provided. The Multi-surface stylesheet allows for cases where the elements for template arcs have arc mid point position recorded in the element rather than recording the true arc center position.
SierraSoft LandXML to TunnelXML
This stylesheet is only designed to be used only with the File and Report Generator utility.
It is used to convert a LandXML file containing tunnel profiles stored as standard LandXML CrossSectSurf elements to a TunnelXML file, that can then be used in Trimble Access. When run in the File and Report Generator utility, you can choose the tunnel profile surface name to be included in the TunnelXML file.
Once you have created a TunnelXML file using this stylesheet in the File and Report Generator utility, you can copy the TunnelXML file onto the controller running Trimble Access and use it for tunnel scanning.
