To add a device

Hardware items purchased from Trimble appear automatically in the Virtual Warehouse when they are shipped.

Some devices, such as tablets that are not Trimble-branded devices (known as "third-party devices"), must be manually added to the Virtual Warehouse so that you can assign the required software licenses to them.

Occasionally you may need to add an item to a Trimble device which was not purchased using your account. This can happen, for example if the device was originally purchased:

  • by a different reseller and the customer is asking you to add items to the device.
  • using a different account at your organization.
