To change or upgrade a controller

You can add or remove the items that are assigned to a controller before or after the customer has received the controller, provided that the device status is Not activated.

If the controller has Trimble Access software assigned, you cannot unassign Trimble Access. You can only unassign modules and warranties. To unassign Trimble Access from the controller, contact Trimble Support.

Once the controller is Activated you can still add field software, modules, and Protection Plans.

To change the modules assigned to a controller, select the controller in the Assign/Upgrade tab.

The fastest way to find a specific item is to click next to the Serial Number field at the top of the Hardware Variants panel and enter the serial number of the device.
